My daughter was diagnosed with celiac last September. Her PCS headaches are 24/7 and it has been 16 months. Now that her celiac is under control, we need to start trying some meds for her constant "migraine."
Does anyone have celiac and can they tell me about not only gluten free meds, but meds that don't hurt her intestines, or cause more disturbing nightmares and neuro symptoms? Thank you! |

I have found that often the brand name of a drug will be gluten free and the generic wont be, so something to watch for. Make sure if the pharmacist is giving you the generic that they READ the generic. Best of luck. Starr |

Since the concussion I sustained, I have been diagnosed with an allergy to wheat due to reactions I was having when I ate it. (I was never allergic to wheat before the concussion!)
It's not Celiac Disease, but it's still very challenging to live with. And it's very important for me to avoid wheat in order to maintain optimal brain health. Hopefully this will help you: http://www.glutenfreedrugs.com/list.htm |
