Default So far my PCS

Well thought I'd share. It's been 5 months since my fall concussion and 6 weeks since my post concussion symptoms. Last 2 weeks have been worst I been to emerg 5 times with pain and mem fogg etc. past 5 days been busy had a see doctor and appointments and see insurance adjuster and I can't drive so I bus and I pay for it at night I'm tired foggy and painful headaches. I better take it easy after tonight. I was depressed for a month but they put me on celexa. I hope I don't have permanent brain damage that's on my mind everyday cause I have 3 pervious concussion from Amatuer boxing when I was a teen and 1 more when I was 25 from a martial arts fight. But I have hope I get better so I can be a husband father and I can go back to work again. I still have all the post concussion symtomps all of them everyday.

Cjm,

What kind of pain did you have?

How long have you been on the Celexa?

Has anything changed over the past few weeks?

I suggest you try to not worry about the future. You have plenty of time to improve. Those symptoms that do not recover as much as you hope can often be overcome with a variety of work-arounds and other accommodations.

I hope you can relax and not be anxious. It is not helpful to you recovery.

My best to you.

I had pain on the right side of the brain and my neck too. When I over due myself I get this way. I've been on celexis for 6 days now 10mg and I take 1mg of valum to help with night anxiety. I have neck tremors some times

And hand tremors. Some days I feel good for 2-3 hours then symtomps come. Like right I feel foggy and light headache and couple neck tremors. I had to bus it to downtown and back 3 hour trip to see insurance company for my engery I feel I get this way when I venture out to do things.

But past 2 weeks I have been watching tv for 2-3 hours a day and on my iPhone 3 hours a day off and on and 30 min on labtop. And walking 3-4 blocks a day and I pay for it nightly.

I would find it very stressful to spend 3 hours trying to use an iPhone. The visual struggles of trying to process such a small screen would be too much for me.

Maybe you will do better staying off it for a while.

Have you done any icing of your neck? Sounds like you may have inflammation that could effect your blood flow to your brain or such.

Do you have access to a physical therapist who can try to work on your upper back and neck? I used to have trouble with my left arm with tremors and numbness. My PT was able to help me get improvement to C-6 to T1.

It took quite a while few treatments to get stability. My upper neck has never healed to last. It gets out of joint from time to time. I'll get sore behind my ear and may need to ice my upper neck for a while.

Ill lay off the iPhone for 1 hour a day and no tv and I'll try ice on te neck. I'm waiting for my insurance to give me the ok to start brain rehab and physio massage and acupuncture treatments and light excercise under a doctor. Can't wait to start maybe 1-2 months from now.
