I am the kind of person that does not complain and says "I'm fine." My husband has made me speak up since the accident. He has stressed that saying everything is fine when it is not, is not going to help me get better. Boy, was he right. I wasn't even going to see my doctor after the accident because I was just shaken up and did not have any visible wounds. Turns out I had a concussion and the vertebrae in my neck had bunched up.

I encourage you to see a doctor if you have neck pain. That way, you can get help if you need it. Or, if the doctor does not find anything wrong. then you can stop worrying. However, keep in mind that other people have posted that their doctors aren't very informed about PCS and tell not to be concerned about the symptoms. So, if you do not agree with what the doctor says, you may need to try another one. It may help to have someone sit in on the visit so they can hear what the doctor says. I was/am not able to follow all of what the doctor says now, and it has been five months.

My doctor has been wonderful and has advocated for me. She did not allow me to go back to work full-time even though I felt better. She was right. I still need rest.
