mayonetwelve,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. At only a week post injury, you are very early in your recovery. The nerves can take quite a while to heal. The myelin sheath around nerves heals slowly. I don't think there is any sort of medical intervention that can be done to speed up the process. Based on how long it takes to regain muscle use after a Botox injection, I suspect it may take 3 to 12 months for those nerves to heal. As I said, nerves heal slowly.

If i didnt know better, i would say i wrote your post! It has been three weeks for me now and my black eye i s finally starting to fade. I still have a knot over my right eyebrow that is sore and a vein above it that is still protruding. I'm very concerned. I still have a lot of vertigo when I lay on my back. I have surgery on 8/1. Have made them aware of my concussion but I'm still concerned they aren't taking it seriously because my surgery is for liposuction.
I'm not sure who to go see about the eyebrow. Should it be a neuro surgeon?? Thoughts? Quote:

I think I would reschedule the lipo until you have no other symptoms happening..
Especially if you will be put under and medicated during and after.
