If the hot bath helped, you might also try alternating hot and cold. Soak in hot water for three minutes, then rub down with a cloth soaked in ice water for one minute. Repeat at least three times (always end on cold). It will increase circulation to the area which may also help reduce swelling and inflammation over the long term.

Other inflammation reducers include algal DHA & EPA and switching to a vegan diet (see the film Forks over Knives for more info). My sciatica and back pain have almost completely disappeared after adopting these natural approaches - and a whole host of medical approaches were just barely effective at damping down the pain.

Dolfinwolf,

Not much. She felt a nodule in my arm which was very painful and ordered an x ray and put me on Naproxen.

Today was a repeat of yesterday another migraine combined with the same muscle pains but now it's both arms...EI YI YI

Will this ever end?

Eowyn,

Thanks for the advice. I'll try it. I do have to say not too excited about the cold part as I am always cold. But, I'll try anything at this point
