Hi everyone,
Saw gp today for a double appt to log my current symptoms. Had physical exam but no mobility tests this time. Poor guy seems rather overwhelmed with my continuing symptoms so today he decided to add gabapentin into the mix of meds I take. Now on 200mg sertraline daily and started with 100mg gabapentin to gradually increase from tomorrow.

Any advice on what side effects or usual effects I have to look forward too.

TBI and PCS symptoms all came about 3 weeks after an accident at work in February 2012 when I hit my head on the corner point of a metal barrier at brisk walking pace.

Life as I knew it came to a shuddering halt that day. 20 year history of depression and anxiety now coupled with memory issues, personality change, speech and communication problems, ringing ears, impulsivity etc etc etc.

Damaged people are dangerous.....they know they can survive!

I don't have any struggles with gabapentin. I started at 600 mgs the first night. I had to increase to 1200 but have tweaked back to 900 mgs. I had no problems even with 1200 mgs. I just went to 900 for the savings. When I started with it as Neurontin, it was US $10 per 300 mgs.

It sounds like you doctor is not very familiar with it.

What symptoms is he trying to treat?
