Confused hooked on norco ?

hello my name is doug , im 51 years old from michigan , i have had 7 brain surgeries since going down with a brain aneurysm on 6-7-10 , one was to install a drain shunt to drain the fluid from my brain as it was building up around my right eye after open brain surgery , ive been taking 10-325mg of norco for the pain but all it does is mask it , most days i take 5 or 6 pills in a 24hr period , i try to stop taking it but i just cant , is this drug addictive ? can i be hooked on it , id like some input on this drug / thanks

Hi Doug. Norco is basically Vicodin with less acetaminophen and yes, it is VERY addictive. I am forced to use it to control the myalgia I suffer from (along with Oxycodone and Ultram). I have been through withdrawal twice in my life. Neither time was pleasant.

You can taper off it and avoid WD if the time is right to get off it. Be very careful and discuss this situation with your physician.
