Default Neurologists Report

I just received a call from my GP. Blood work came back unremarkable. That's normal right? Weird tho coz I tested normal for the ESR test which is for inflammation and my massage therapist says my whole spine is inflamed.

Any way, My GP wants me to come in to go over the report from the Neurologist. I called 2 weeks ago for the results and the lady was rude and mean and said if it were normal then I wouldn't get a call.

Should I be worried?

I don't know! I am a worrier, though, so I would be worrying regardless, lol. I'm sorry the lady was rude at the doc office too.

I have had my fill of rude receptionists lately...I just try to remember they aren't the doc and not to let it shadow my opinion of him. (since I now like my doc).

Keep us posted on what happens today!

Why would you want to worry?

Getting good information for any diagnostic test is good. They can't help you if they do not know what is wrong.

You know you feel lousy. You should want to know why.

My best to you.

Just got back from the docs appt and my neurological findings are:

Ataxia
Balance problems
Hand tremors not related to anxiety
PCS
PTSD
Panic disorder
Occipital Neuralgia

New med Amitriptyline for neck pain and sleep
Will be receiving injections at the occipital nerve for migraines upon follow up.

He also wrote in his opinion: Should not return to work without treatment of PTSD and probably wont return if it all. He also said my brain fog is related to concussion and may/may not end in a few months

My neuro test from another doc was in as well 25/30. Is that good?

Regarding my arms GP thinks it could be Reynauds and to follow up with Neuro regarding these complaints.

Default Mist...

How does the work comp laws work in Canada? Seems you are being indirectly dx as more of psychological issues or can a tbi be the root of psychological issues that were dormant

I do have anxiety issues that began after being assaulted. No dormant issues. I think my dx stems from the initial brain injury.

Occipital Neuralgia from brain injury (nerve problems in the head)
Ataxia (Brain injury)
PCS brain injury

PTSD and anxiety are the only dx that are psychological from the assault

Mist,

Sounds like you got a good diagnosis. And a good comment about going back to work. Now you just have to wait for the help you need.

Hope they provide it for you.

My best to you.

Mark,

I agree. I think I spoke to harshly about this doctor and he really did do a good exam on me after all. That'll teach me for being overly paranoid. I also think my muscle pains are related to the ataxia but at least there's a follow up appointment. I'll take my questions there and try not to stress about it anymore.

Now, Let the healing begin!

If you still have questions, ask them here. We might be able to help you understand the issue so you can ask the same question in a better way from the doctors, etc.

I have learned that it is often not the question asked but how you have framed the question asked.
