Default can't distinguish between allergy and concussion symptoms

It's really playing on my mind that I might have caused myself yet another injury. I'm feeling a little better day by day, but I think what I'm really suffering from are allergies, because my eyes are still so irritated and I have other sinus type things.

I'm also suffering from no other concussion symptoms apart from (tired eyes) and just feeling kind of 'hungover'. I don't really know what a hangover feels like, but it's how I describe this feeling, or I just don't feel awake, or half asleep with a heavy head? I know this kind of fatigue feeling is also caused by allergies though.

Can someone please help me distinguish between allergies and concussion, because all this came after I hit my head, and it's been a really bad week for me so far, whether it's coincidence or not.

I never seem to get allergies, but it is Spring in Australia, and hay fever warnings have been on the news, so it makes a bit of sense.

Going to see if I can get some kind of confirmation of what's wrong with me from my doctor tomorrow.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Have you tried any allergy meds? If they resolve your allergy like symptoms, you have your diagnosis. The hung over feeling is classic PCS.

I have an allergy like symptom where my eyes sting. It is from the allergens in the air getting on the skin oils and then the skin oils in my eyes. My solutions is washing my eye area with a hot wash cloth from time to time.

I haven't had a chance to get any allergy meds yet, I might be able to get some tomorrow though, so I'll guess I'll have to wait to find out.

I also want the doctor to give me a diagnosis of concussion in case I have any future issues. Any tips on how to get him to do this?

There is no way to get the doctor to give you a diagnosis of concussion.

Why do you want the diagnosis of concussion? Any future symptoms will not be treated any differently.

It would be helpful if you kept you question on the same thread you started back in May. This way we can look back and see your injury history so we can give you a better answer/comment. Otherwise, you will find us asking questions to remind us of your injury history.

My best to you.
