Default Had a real shock today - my balance

A quick recap - I tripped in January this year not only did I damage my head but also my left knee. Amongst all the symptoms I knew my balance was pretty poor but put a lot of that down to the damage to my knee 25 mm (1 inch) of enamel has gone. And although it is 9 months still waiting for a proper examination.

Anyway one of the wife's old nursing colleagues came over. The conversation inevitable came round to my injury. Can't remember ( ) how it happened but I ended up doing some basic balance tests in front of both of them - how exciting is my life now

What a disaster, walking slowly one foot in front of the other, balance on one leg - that was funny, balance on two feet front of each other

Well I new my balance was poor but I didn't know it was that bad - quite shocked deep down as i used to have really good balance

I think we adjust to our symptoms and forget how we should be! We have lost balance but counteract constantly with coping mechanisms.
It reinforces how bad your accident was, doesn't it!
