Recommendations from dermatologist friend:
- Dietary supplement of a probiotic. - Tumeric, tumeric, tumeric: Capsulated supplement, tumeric tea, dietary additions, e.g. split pea soup w/ generous amount of tumeric. - Pure organic apple cider vinegar (ACV with "the mother" visible): Use as a facial toner twice daily after facial cleansing; twice daily apply ACV w/ cotton ball to cystic lesions on chest, back, etc. & especially as soon as you see them arise. Morning, drink 1 Tablespoon ACV in 8 or more ozs. water or juice. (This may help also improve your GERD.) - Raw natural honey: With cottontipped swab, apply to the lesions; the honey is antiseptic and antibacterial. Hoping that you get some relief soon, andromeda. |

Dear Andromeda,
I am very sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds as though you are having a horrible time. When I first got PCS I had troubles about having somewhere to stay. Also because I couldn't work I had to look for cheap rent and couldn't really afford to pay it. I had to move a couple of times in quick succession. All of this stuff is just terrible for anyone who is suffering from PCS. There was nothing that I could do about it but my situation might have contributed to the fact that the PCS became long-term. I don't know what your situation is and it is none of my business, but is there anyone who could look after you for a while or perhaps give you somewhere to stay so that you didn't have to worry about that at least? I think that it would be a bit relief for you. At the moment you have enough to be thinking about with your health without worrying about homelessness as well. I really think that someone should be helping you. Have you gone to Citizen's Advice? They might have some suggestions. I really wish you all the best with your current situation and hope that things get better for your soon. CS |

Thanks, Theta. It's actually starting to calm down a bit so I think it may have been stress related. Had my first ever deep tissue massage yesterday which I think has helped both my back and stress levels.
Thanks CS, have PM'd you, by the way. |

It's really good to hear that the n.a. is starting to calm down, as well as your stress level.
Deep tissue therapeutic massage is so relaxing. I'm glad that you were able to receive that ultra-nurturing yesterday, andromeda.
