Default Migraine/or related to PCS?

Almost 2 yrs ago, my now almost 14 year old daughter suffered a sports related concussion, 7 mos later suffered another one. Currently she suffers from headaches that come and go, but last week at school blacked out in 2nd period w/ no oncoming symptoms- she lost hearing for seconds; maybe a minute and immediately got a severe headache 9 out of 10. No loss of conciousness.- I took her imm. to the dr.'s and after a neuro exam, blood test- for blood sugars, urine test for hydration- the dr. concluded it was a bad migraine w/ an aura and prescribed the nasal form of imitrex. Was wondering if anyone else has suffered anything like this. She does not have a history of anything like this ever happening before.

With all the latest media surrounding the effects of concussions I am seriously not sleeping and what to do all I can to help her. Thank you!

love3,

I understand your concern. The unexplained collapse can be a worry. It may have been a single even that will not happen again.

If it happens again, you need to get her to an emergency room. Doctors will be better at diagnosing the cause if the time period is shorter.

You said, "With all the latest media surrounding the effects of concussions I am seriously not sleeping and what to do all I can to help her. Thank you! "

What are your worries?
