Before returning to contact sports, it would be worthwhile to read this article about CTW.

Boston University has been doing research on the subject and should be read by every athlete and parent to understand the long term effects of concussions. Hopefully, it will stop one player returning to action before they are ready. I am living through what is outlined in their research and I can only hope others are able to avoid my situation.
