Confused Spaced out feeling.

Anyone else have days and times where you feel totally spaced out?

My head has been in the clouds ever since a bad experience with a drug administered to me at the ER last month. I started to feel a little better...and then I went to a church service last Sunday that, as Mark put it, blew my mind out. Literally. I've struggled to function and get through my days ever since. It feels like there is a dark cloud blocking me from accessing my memories, intelligence and speech.

Last night, my son's mother took the kids to her mom's house to let me rest in peace for a night and a day. Well, I've been getting as much rest as humanly possible but I can't tell if its helping at all. I just know that I'm reaaallly spacey and it's scaring the crap out of me.

I forgot the screen lock to my Android phone. Ummm...really? I unlock my phone a hundred times a day or more. Whats up with that?

I don't get it. I'm not really doing anything that should cause me to feel this way. I'm just laying on the couch, doing a little reading and that's about it. I thought quiet rest was supposed to help?

Hmph.

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI.

Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain.

Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms.

Slowly but surely regaining my life back.
