Help Worried again.......

Hello All,

If you have any suggestions please let me know what you would do....

I know I regularly comfort others but when these symptoms come back for you it is frightening.

On holiday in Spain on the last day, after picking something off the floor, I stood up and smacked the side of my head on a large piece of metal. The impact left a fair sized bump sticking out. I was dizzy but recovered quick. Later on had bad head pain. That was 1 week ago.

Since then I have noticed I am suffering dropsies, regularly in little ways. I am a hairdresser and kept dropping my comb (from my left hand).

Yesterday a.m I fell to the floor while talking to my hubby.

This morning my left arm went quite numb and I dropped a full carton of juice all over the floor, then I dropped my tea. I realised that my feeling in my left hand was no where near the same as my right.

It's xmas here so no doc open.

I have a nasty headache.
What should I be thinking?

I am a 36 yr old female who has played football, as a hobby, for 13 yrs. In July 2012, during a game I was slammed to the floor by two angry guys who hit into me so hard that one of them broke their ribs.
This knocked me back onto hard ground leaving me unconscious. I awoke to chronic head and neck pain, sickness and the inability to see or balance.
The paramedics made me walk to the ambulance, instead of placing me on a spinal board, where I was taken to the ER. I was hospitalised with suspected brain hemorrhage for 1 week, then on complete bed rest for 1 month, in a wheelchair for 2 months.

I have been left with PCS, moderate constant head pain, little short term memory, no memory of the accident, balance and sight problems, depression and exhaustion.
The worst problem is collapsing regularly. This has finally been diagnosed as Hemiplegic Migraines , these cause my brain to regularly shut down when I am tired and I then feel the full effects of a stroke (without the bleed on the brain!!) of which the symptoms last 2-4 days.
I have had 6 CT's, 2 MRI's and am under 3 specialists.

I believe everyday is one more towards improvement. Mainly I believe in the power of acceptance not the weakness of complacency or resignation.

I second what sospan said. Call NHS Direct. I've used them a number of times for various reasons and they've always been great. They will send an ambulance if necessary.

Good luck.

Sounds like you may have tweeked your neck. Ice it frequently until you can get it checked out.

Any time you have nerve symptoms in your arm(s) or hand(s), ice your upper neck. Sometimes, you even need to ice between the base of your neck and between your shoulders.

I have live with chronic issues like this for years. When it flares up, I ice and usually resolve the problem.
