Are you taking it with food?
Krill oil is usually easier to tolerate. Costco and Sam's club have it at affordable Prices. We use Mega Red here at our house.

Yes! I switched to Flax oil because of that problem. Try another form of Omega 3, I forget what the other besides Flax oil is but you can ask at a health food store.

I was having issues with tracheal inflammation from the fish oil supplements. Flax Seed oil does much better for me. Another source of Omega-3's that may sound weird is raw shelled hemp seeds. They have a nutty flavor and a good balance of Omega-3's to omega 6 ratio. I was getting these at local supplement store but found better pricing and quality (in my view anyway) on amazon. |

It's not uncommon. Are you taking with a decent sized meal, that will help.

Krill oil(Mega Red is one brand ) is often without GI disturbance. Also there are DHA supplements made from Algae, and those don't upset people either.

I am currently taking one liquid gel a day of the following blueberry extract:
Amazon.com: Wild Blueberry Concentrate - Made from Organic Berries | GMO & Gluten Free - Packed with Antioxidants and Phytonutrients | 6 Liquid Softgels - 2 Month Supply!: Health & Personal Care I have noticed a discernible difference with this product on my daily function. Although I am by no means "normal" with this, I notice I can think more clearly, have fewer reading problems, and have better memory, and am also better able to tolerate caffeine more frequently. This effect is equal for me to eating an entire container of blueberries each day. I can't find a citation for this, but I have read elsewhere that blueberries contain substances which activate a particular enzyme which improves the flow of oxygen to the brain. Given that caffeine causes reduced blood flow in the brain, that would explain my increased tolerance for caffeine while taking this product. |

Are there any guidelines about the safe doses of Vitamin B-6? I am a bit confused: some of you mentioned taking 50mg or 100mg daily, and many products offer high doses (I was for instance considering this supplement: Daily Essential Nutrients - A Natural Alternative For Mood Disorders, which would provide 66mg per day), but in my home country the official recommendation is to avoid exceeding 5mg per day because of the potential neurotoxicity.
Is it sensible to take B-12 and B-6 separately, in order to get a high dose of B-12 and a low of B-6? Or is the balance important? |

B-6 at 5 mgs per day is OK. It is the B-12 that is more important. Folate (folic acid) is also important. Getting the whole range of Bs with low dose B-6 is a challenge. That is why I suggest a B-50 Complex plus B-12.
100 mgs of B-6 daily is considered the very lowest range for toxicity with B-6 not usually a problem until 1000 mgs per day is taken. That Daily Essential Nutrients is killer expensive at $1.50 US per daily dose (4 capsules each day). It only has 23 mgs of B-6 in a daily dose of 4 capsules.
