Thumbs up ~Back to PCS~Physiatrist Appointment

Ok so I had a hard 48hours and thought I would relapse....well I did not!Actually I got good news...that my balance was looking better and I am showing improvement from physiatrist and my Neuro said it appears that I am making better decisions on my own))) I had went to my physiatrist appointment today and he had showed me the MRI of my neck C1-C5 disks were bulging So I got special instructions from Physiatrist to stretch and keep the neck from working....I had received a cortisone shot on right side and next time I get the left side as well...we had to start with one side....I felt instant relief and now icing....I highly recommend this for neck injuries....

I was so encouraged by the MD he had asked me what happened and I had already typed out summary because I am trying to not look back (was my psychiatrist words). After talking and getting a light physical exam he asked what I was taking for pain...I said Aleve & tylenol....I told him like the rest of MD's I refuse pain meds. So he offered shot I agreed.

As he gave me the shot we talked a little about accident....he stated that he was in a accident in 2004 and was in coma for 6hrs and a fractured skull, he had a concussion and had surgery on skull...I asked him how is he now with PCS he said he is good and gave me hope that this can go away with time and I can finish my future dreams. He told me to take it easy....He was Indian and a well known physiatrist ....It was like he could read me from the outside that I might be doing to much....This is why I love the speciality MD's.

I have noticed that these MD's that just got on my team give words of encouragement examples:"Do not look back"(psychiatrist)"Do not over do it"(physiatrist)"You have to do this, we can help"(Neurologist).....These short self-hypnosis involving autosuggestion really work for me
