Thinking about you!! Keep your mind off what happens after surgery and just enjoy the fact that you are continuing to move forward with all the right medical people :)

You are doing a wonderful job advocating for yourself and continuing to push forward in your therapies. You ROCK!

Hope it goes okay. I had very bad TMJ about 15 years ago, was told I needed to get my jaw reset and wired, and then I met a physiotherapist who specialised in the jaw, and I was treated by her with various things and did home exercises, and it got all better! My jaw is more stable, I don't need to wear something at night, and th searing jaw pain is gone.
Everyone is different, of course, but just to encourage you to make sure you get more than one opinion!

We already tried the exercises:(but yes after we get everything together I will go get a second opinion before any surgery. But my thing is the pain has went away but my bite is off and my jaw constantly pops when I open and close and can feel it like jerk on alignment....I don't know if that makes sense...but I also need to consider in future arthritis of jaw:eek:

Well I finished CT Scan of TMJ and today I had did a 2hour MRI without impressions and with impressions....with my mouth open for whole 2hours that hurt my whole head and could feel muscle spasms popping up all over my body while I could not move:eek:When I got up from table the vertigo was horrible!!!
Now sore and icing...Probably know the deal next week sometime:thud:

Until then I am asking myself am I ready for this???:girl(sad):

You are ready

Mia,
Good job! You are so brave. You could come out looking really pretty. After my daughter had braces and they moved her jaw forward it really changed the shape of her face for the better. She is gorgeous. So there is that.
Hoping you are feeling ok today. I know your jaw is sore. So sorry. I am thinking of you.
Much love and healing vibrations are being sent your way,
Brain

Brain thank you so much for the kind words they are greatly appreciated. I was actually sore a little last night but not today at all.Maybe it was a stretch that my jaw, head, brain needed?I will find out more after 24hrs and then 48hrs but I'm thinking NO PAIN NO GAIN LOL:D:hug:

I just realized it has been a year to date that my jaw locked and dropped!Wow it's kind of crazy to look back and think what or where did the last year or two or three years etc GO?I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE MY SHORT TERM MEMORY IS SHOT!LOL!Ask me about 15 years ago I can tell you details:grouphug:

Results for Jaw

My TMJ MD had called and said after going over
MRIs/CBTC Scan of jaw that he has came to a decision. The decision is split therapy for 6-8months because my muscles are very hyper.I would go in once a month and get the splint adjusted to tighter fit because my jaw will change positions. With this being said I suppose it is better than being wired shut. This is a pricy ordeal still.I have done my research on it and there is people that stated it does work and people that says it does not....Seems to be a out of pocket expensive trial and error.FRUSTRATING

I need to ask second opinion now and one of my impairments is problem solving so I do not know.

While I Am in Waiting Process

I am in a wait for the jaw M.D. to get my medical stuff back from another jaw M.D. that is out of state that is doing a second opinion. The second opinion is for split therapy to correct my jaw movement.I also have hyper muscles in my jaw from being displaced. My jaw is on edge of locking up on me and I have a great deal of ear pain and facial muscle spasms.

I am scheduled to go get some anti inflamation shot today in TMJ I guess.I don't know but I think it is going to hurt. I guess anything is better then locked jaw right? My mom is taking me, it is a hour drive away from me.Hope this is a good pain after all the pain I been threw I now have a very high pain level.:grouphug:
