Default Neuroendicrinology and TBI recovery

Here is a very good blog about TBI and how hormones need to be scrutinized with a fine eye to detail.

Default Interesting

Thanks for the link. It is really fascinating. I did have my hormone levels checked but I wonder if the test was sensitive enough. Have you talked w/ anyone who has seen Dr. Gordon?

Default Growth hormones

Thanks for this. If I am ever rich enough to try this I will. growth hormones run about $4,000.00 a shot. I did manage to get BlueCross/BlueShield to pay for this once for a little boy that was not growing when I was an insurance broker. Any new treatment information is hopeful. I wonder if there are any free medical studies out there for people like us?

Yes, agreed.

AND, note that it is indeed *very expensive* ... if you can even get a doc to order the high-level testing. (Most won't; only the basics at most.)

Such specialized docs *do not accept/work with insurance* ... much less even Medicare or any Medicare Complete insurance programs.

It's highly available, provided you've mucho dinero to pay cash up-front.
Yep, great ... provided you can afford it.

Just don't expect it as any "standard of care" in the ordinary realm of medical care.

I bet you can get doctors who specialize in 'Life Extension' or maximizing performance to do this. They are not run of the mill insurance based physicians.
