Default Can PCS symptoms recur?

I Had PCS from a concussion I sustained as a result of a bicycle accident I had last April. The symptoms I experienced at that time were headaches, neck pain, short term memory problems, trouble with words, increased TMJ pain.

These all seemed to pretty well subside after a couple of months, then 2 months ago I started experiencing headaches, neck pain, tinnitus in both ears (I normally have it in my right ear all the time) & increased TMJ pain again.
I'm bi-polar, so I'm not sure how much my moods are affected, other than I know all the pain is causing increased anxiety at this time. Is it common for PCS symptoms to reappear like this? Or is this something totally unrelated?

Concussion symptoms can re-occur but usually due to a trigger of some kind. A physical trauma or emotional trauma can be a trigger. Read the thread Vitamins, it will help you reduce stress on your brain. It is probably on page 2 of the index.

PCS symptoms can definitely recur. Anxiety and depression actually prolonged my symptoms. Now that's the anxiety is going away, my symptoms are going away. I'd say treat the bipolar, practice relaxing activities, apply ice, and just kick back. Avoid any triggers. Changing the diet can help and a good vitamin schedule. As Mark said, refer to his post on a good Vitamin Regimen.

Symptoms: Occipital Neuralgia.
2 MRI's and CT normal.

Currently going through Paxil withdrawals, and psych has me on L-Theanine, Benadryl for zaps, and Lemon Balm. It has eased it by a bit, so I am continuing the treatment till 1 month from now.

Made a 98% recovery on April 8, 2013 with only symptoms of pinched nerves/Occipital Neuralgia in the head and is being treated with injections and physical therapy.

Was experiencing:
Migraines, Headaches, Nausea and Vomiting, Panic Attacks and Anxiety, Depression, Major Insomnia, Brain Fog, Tinnitus, Lethargy, Loss of appetite, Major Heart Palpitations, Occipital Neuralgia has eased a bit.

Vitamins and Medicines: , L-Theanine, Omega 3 Super DHA 900mg, Stress B-Complex Extra Strength, Potassium Gluconate 1000mg, Magnesium Malate 1250mg, Vitamin D3 2000 IU, Methylcobalamin B-12 5000 mcg, Vitamin C 500mg, Lemon Balm.

Things that helped me: My Vitamin Regimen, Medication, Earplugs (Love these!), Nature Sounds, Hydrotherapy, Neck Pillow with Heat, Heating Pads, Resting, Being Outside!

Thanks for the info, both from Mark & Consider. I tried to follow the links you suggested in the Vitamin Forum... maybe it's me, sometimes I can't find my hand in front of my face. I think I looked over the entire site without finding the threads the two of you suggested I persue in that section. I DID find a thread by "lou lou" from 2007 about Understanding Malabsorbtion of medications & suplements that was very interesting, though. If you have other threads you had in mind, could you let me know the links to them, either here, on my page or by PM, please?

I do have to agree that stress could be playing a fair amt of the problem in my case, so will work on that to try to find better ways to come to terms with that. Sometimes it takes a freash set of eyes to see the things that are right in front of us to see, if only we would open our eyes...

Thanks again for your help!

The Vitamins thread is in the Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome index. It is very rare that we refer to thread in other forums.
Here is a link to the Vitamins thread http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread181974.html
