Good question. It's cheaper to buy seeds. I live in Berkeley, CA where there are a lot of organic/herb sections within the plant nurseries and hardware stores. I have found chamomile plants here.

I'm not sure about other regional stores. Worth a phone call?

Good luck!

Hi all,

I bought some chamomile seeds yesterday from a garden shop. Im sure most places will sell the seeds they seem pretty common. They cost me $3 Australian. The man at the shop said they were very easy to grow and look after

Nice tutorial on making the tea

This thread has inspired my inner reference librarian, and this looks like a nice link on how to make the tea from your own plants.

I will confess that I never made the greatest tea with it, but I only tried a few times.

Anyhow, here is the link and live on in the wonderful life of healing herbs!!!

I have tried green tea in the morning for 2 days now and I just don't think I can give up my coffee. I even tried using two tea bags. I'm just so darn groggy. Do you think one cup of coffee in the morning is really going to slow down my recovery? I can sadly say I am addicted to caffeine. However, I have cut back a lot. Prior to my concussion I used to take pre-workout energy formulas prior to weightlifting that contained tons of caffeine and stimulants. Since my concussion I've cut all that out and stuck with one cup of coffee in the morning.

One cup -- OK??

Hi T,

I **think*** one cup is OK. It's just having more is a problem, but I don't know.

I was just getting caffeine in this multi vitamin I take so I got rid of it and being caffeine free was a goal of mine and it works for me.

I do feel that is the main thing in all of this. Listen to your body, your brain, note your reactions to what you do -- and that is the way to recover and stay recovered.

Good luck and keep on healing!

There are different *types* of green tea. The ones in prepared tea bags are very watered down versions of authentic Japanese green tea. Especially if you get it in the supermarket (like Celestial Seasonings, etc.)

I'm not sure where you live, but if you have access to a Japanese supermarket you can order the loose leaf green tea. You only need one small pinch in your cup of hot water.

Mitsuwa is the largest bay area store that has online shopping. Any of the Sen-cha/ Green tea loose leaf would be yummy. It's pricey, but you only need a wee pinch bit for a strong, delicious, healthy cup of tea.

I don't usually promote goods but if you haven't tried the loose leaf green tea, you are in for a true treat!
