Hi guys,
I"m just wondering if anyone here is taking an amino acid supplement. I'm currently taking BCAA powdered form and will put it in 16 oz of water and take it on an empty stomach. I've also bought this supplement called Total Amino Solutions which seems to be a very popular supplement at Whole Foods as it's always sold out! http://genesaliving.com/products/total-amino-solution/ I'm not sure if my dosaging is correct or I'm taking too much? Also, can one take too much B6? Thank you |

They had some conversation on BCAA earlier:
Here's the thread. An interesting read on BCAA and TBI - National Academies Press offers some good information.

Medication update: Topamax 200mg twice daily it seems to minimize daily headaches to a 1-2/10 quality(I still know they are there); and acute headaches erupt without warnings. |

Blue,
There is no way to expect the same result with an amino acid supplement as the result others get. You need to decide for yourself. Your problem will be that you have never allowed your condition to stabilize before adding a new supplement. As I have said, there is no quick fix. Your brain needs to stabilize with good base nutrition including normal fats (not boiled chicken where the fats are boiled away). Notice the recent thread with the pdf presentation of nutrition for TBI included red meat. What have you been doing to reduce stress in your daily life ?

My stress levels are much better compared to before and yes I do realize I was taking a wrong approach diet wise before and am now on the ketogenic diet.
After doing some research about B6, you do have to watch how much you have to take. Strangely enough I have been feeling better which I will write about in another post. Thanks ! Quote:
