Sorry if this has already been asked.
The huge array of vitamins in stores can make you dizzy, am wondering if anyone knows which brands are best? I'm female...and looking for a good multi, GNC has various kinds so not sure which to get. Is GNC a reputable brand? I already buy NOW vitamins, C (1000) D3 (1000) and E (400) am only taking 1000 of the Vit D3, is that enough? I also take Magnesium. Have just started throwing in fish oil but don't know how much of that I should be taking. Do not take any of the B's and have been reading a thread about how useful that is? Thank you in advance fro any advice |

Mark has posted a thread that is "stickied" on the top of the forum that gives you information.
Very informative and good for the Brain.

[SIZE="1"]What happened. I was in a car accident 2-23-2013, and got a mild concussion from it. I had some time off for brain rest, got somewhat better, but slipped into PCS in March 2013. Symptoms I had: dizziness, light and sound sensitivity, fatigue, tinitis, occasional headaches and migraines, Symptoms as of 5--2013: poor sleep, tinitis, some confusion /short term memory blanks, balance. The other symptoms are mostly gone, but flare up if I OVERdo something. Therapy I had: vestibular 3 months in: I could drive more and for longer distances. I felt like a younger, happier version of myself and I feel so blessed to have this feeling. 9 months in and I am working full time. I do get tired, and some sound and light sensitivity from time to time, but mostly I am over most of my symptoms. I pray every day and I m praying for your recovery. Over a year in: I can multi task (limited) and have humor in my life. But when I am tired, I am very tired. |

dagma1,
The brands are not near as important as getting a supplement regimen started and staying with it. It takes months for nerves to recover because the myelin sheath is slow growing/repairing. Strained nerve fibers can not heal until the myelin sheath has healed. The vitamins help the myelin sheath heal. Just try to avoid the grocery store brands, One a Day, Centrum, etc. As mentioned GNC Mega Men/Women have good dosages. Do not double up on a lesser dose brand thinking it will make up. You may end up with too much of a trace element such as the metals. The B-50 is important because it helps balance the B's but you should still add the B-12 and some B-6.
