Default Minor bumps = PCS

Hi everyone,

I am newly registered here and what a great forum this is. It is touching to see all the stories about what everyone has gone through after a concussion. It's an unfortunate way for all of us to meet and correspond but with support we can all heal.

I myself have suffered 3 concussions in the past 3 years. The first was in hockey (blind side hit), second and third was my son hitting my in the head by accident.

I have tried many things to get well and somedays I feel like I am getting back to normal, but any small bump to my head I feel PCS again. Just the other day i fell asleep as a passenger in the car and while dozing off my head hit the side window fairly lightly and now i feel this light headed / floating head symptom again.

Are their others that face this same issue? Minor bumps affect you in ways you never thought they would?

The crazy thing for me was it was a long journey for me to even realize that PCS was causing all my strange symptoms (anxiety, hypoglycemia, mild depression, brain fog, ect). I went through many different practitioners and tests to realize that what i was facing was PCS.

Here are the things I have tried or am currently doing since Nov 2012:
- No more alchohol, caffeine, refined sugars, high protein diet with organic vegies and fruit
- Vitamin B complex, Vit C, Good Multi Vit, (serotonin, tyrosine, Cysteine, Calcium, Selenium(Based on the kalish method), magnesium citrate,PS-100, Fish Oil, Probiotics
- Accupuncture, Chiro, Naturalpathic medicine, Brainwave optimization (Very recently completed and still hopeful about results)
