Default Pain and heat from injury site

Not sure if anyone has experienced this-I've even done some "googling" and can't find anything-

TBI 2 years ago-subdural with a large laceration on the occipital/parietal.
Acquired chiara. 11 staples on the back of the scalp.

Initially pain, heat, swelling, tenderness, etc etc etc at the site. Last night out of the blue-heat and tenderness (pain) at the site again. Haven't bumped it or had any other injury.

Any ideas? I'm lost.

Many thanks!

Tami

Default Site Pain

Hi Tami

New to the group and a recent joinee. Just over a month ago. I have done a ton a research since that is my background. I can not remembe wher I found it but there it is common to have certain "flashbacks" of the injury spot with the head. Mine was recent on Aug 7 and I took 9 staples to the back of my scalp. Fell off a roof and landed on my head directly on a large rock. Onloy 6 feet down. I read some stuff from the UK (I think) about reoccuring pain and heat to head injury site. Check the scar. Ice or a cold patch to the area is what they were suggesting.

Hope this helps

48yrs old. exercise 4-5 times and week (running, ice hockey, speed skating, gym, etc) Aug 7, 2013 fell 6 ft off a garage roof and landed on my head directly on a rock. Head was cut open for 9 staples. Do not remember falling. Passed out for 4-5 min. Lost 15-20 min of memory from the incident. PCS include senstive to heat and light, noise, lack of drive or ambition, frequent headaches, crankiness. no patience, loss of appetite.
Plan - fruit shakes and smoothies, lots of water, fruit and veggies, fresh fish. lots of walks (2-3 miles or 3-5km/day), chiropractor visits (activator method only twice a week), massages every 2 weeks, plenty of rest.

Default

thanks for the info. Was very odd to me-but I have felt some "crusting" around the scar site...shouldn't be there. It's been 2 years and change.
