Default I Have Changed..and Not for the Better

HI,

I've noticed that recently I feel agitated, angry and confrontational.

This is not me! I get along with just about everyone, but now I find that I just can't tolerate being around people. I feel as though people are loud and boisterous, even in the hospitals.

I started Elavil about 3 weeks ago for my headaches (Topamax made me too dizzy and experience vertigo) and these new symptoms begain about 2 weeks ago. Do you think it is the Elavil?

I feel I am taking 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. I feel so lost and just don't know what to do anymore.

Talk to you doctor about these changes. Elavil is usually prescribed in small doses, 10 to 20 mgs. for PCS. Some people react poorly to meds like Elavil.

As Mark said, you should check with your Physician.

Agitation, Excitement, hostility, are known side effects of amitriptyline (Elavil) that should be reported to your Physician.

Best Wishes............

Medication update: Topamax 200mg twice daily it seems to minimize daily headaches to a 1-2/10 quality(I still know they are there); and acute headaches erupt without warnings.
