More likely some kind of vasospasm or other irritation. The nerve/brain cells do not have pain receptors.
Finding a specific definition of your injury is a losing battle. It will not change your recovery. Anxiety is a horrendous cause of pain and discomfort. I have had extreme anxiety levels the past two months. I also have never experienced such chronic pain. The doctors have tested everything and find no reason for my pain and discomfort.
