Maybe I don't understand how bad your roads are. I used to live in the mountains and had to drive 2 miles up a dirt road to my home. It would get potholes in the winter and wet season but I learned to avoid most and sit so that I could tolerate the rest. Even the paved road was full of potholes but we learned to avoid them or slow down.
Understanding the physiological mechanism behind the sensitivity would be interesting but not help unless there was a treatment to resolve the sensitivity. As with the rest of PCS, treatment is just not available.

In my oppinion, it would help a lot to understand the physiological mechanism. There is a huge difference wether symptoms appear due to a new damage of the brain cells or just because of irritation. TBI sufferers would be a lot more careful if the former applied in order to receive an ideal healing process.

I would think that it is irritation in most cases. A prolonged ride down a rough road may cause new injury. There is no certain way to differentiate. It could just be that the rough ride trigger inflammation. That alone could bring on new or a return of symptoms.
I don't think it makes any difference regarding the healing process. Irritation slows the healing process. New injury, even if it is minor, effects the healing process. Getting caught up in the mechanism is futile. Even the best researchers struggle to understand the injury mechanism. They do recognize that there are a variety of injury mechanisms.

Well the only thing that I can admit is that today was the worst day since 2 months. I feel almost like on the first days when my concussion happened. Im sure it had something to do with the bus ride.
When does this condition normally improve? |

I feel the jolt at the base of my skull now. It used to be brain shaking feeling but I don't feel anything in my head now. Just a jolt at the base of my skull. Is it my neck ?
