I really don't want to end it but I cannot keep going either. What's the point? I wake up, feel like crap, work, feel worse, go home, sleep, repeat. And for years!

My family and friends have stopped asking how I am - which is fine and I don't blame them for trying to move on. I've also seen every specialist under the sun but to no avail.

So I am starting to plan which is worrying.

I guess I'm looking for some inspiration or hope that things will get better but I just can't see that happening.
I don't give advice. But the one thing I will tell anyone who feels like this is please keep talking about your SU thoughts. here or offline to someone you trust. I have depression I had it before the TBI but it's worsened since. so I get it. I, some time ago lost a friend to it. It's when people stop talking about their depression/thoughts like these that's the problem, which it sounds like you're aware of.

I'm not one to offer encouragement but I hope this helped, somehow.

3. stand up paddle boarding-- just getting on the board land not going very far but balancing was helpful. note that she could not get through vestibular or eye therapy due to feeling nausea, but she could stand up on a paddle board.

4. prism glasses to act as a crutch when she reads--she still cannot comprehend but she can read simple fiction books now.

We just got her hormones checked but the results have not come back. I just want to say that she is still getting better. There have been times when she went backwards or plateaued.

keep talking --we're here,
Its good you are getting her hormones checked. After 2 years my son got checked by a doctor specializing in concussion and hormones here in ontario and he was found to be low in testosterone and thyroid. I recall he told me women can experience the same hormone imbalances after concussions also so its worth getting her checked. I suggest you confirm results with a doctor who specializes in treating hormone imbalances and concussions to be sure you get the right take. **. Hormone imbalances can cause brain fog, congitive issues, depression, anxiety, etc so definietly worth getting checked!

Anne it may be your hormone levels. its can occur with TBI /concussion. You should get yours checked. Hormones can cause depression without a doubt. It caused it in my son along with panic attacks ruminating thoughts etc. his depression and attacks are gone now. ** see what women go through when they're hormones are changing as an example of how much hormones can affect you. get them checked by an HRT specialist if you can
