Glutamine does not appear to have any neurological benefits. What are you hoping it with accomplish.

I think it is risky. If you are concerned with muscle mass loss, I am concerned that the risk is greater then the return.
My doc put me on Zyprexa to try to stop my weight loss. He suggested I would gain 5 to 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Instead, I have just stopped losing weight. That is good enough for me. I dropped 30 pounds between mid July and Oct 15. I like my current weight. Just did not need to lose any more.
