Default Six Mos Later - Two Questions

It has been six months since I fainted and fell backwards onto the garage floor, hitting the back of my head and getting a concussion. Two questions:

1 - Is it normal/common to still be sensitive to the touch, where my head hit the floor? It is a dull pain - manageable - but I'm surprised it hasn't healed yet. It sort of comes and goes, but seems to be getting worse not better.

2 - I have a new symptom, and that is, when I roll over from one side to the other while sleeping, I experience pretty extreme dizziness for about 10 seconds (always on the same side) - dizzy to the point of having pretty serious nausea.

I have a feeling these two issues may have sprung from trying to get back into yoga a couple of weeks ago - I don't think my head was ready for the movement. The first class was fine, but two days later I was only able to last 15 minutes, then I began getting very dizzy and had to leave. It was a vinyasa flow class.

Thanks for any insight.

You may not be ready for the neck movements. There are a lot of yoga movements that could be problematic to one's head and neck. Give your brain and neck a rest again then start back slowly.

Do you know what caused you to faint?

My best to you.

The dizziness that occurs when you move your head in bed may be BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). You can make an appointment with your doctor to help diagnose this condition.

Thank you Mark. I became overheated after exercising, low blood sugar, etc.

Thanks very much - that looks exactly right, baesd on my symptoms. It appears the treatment is PT based which is good. I will definitely make an appointment with the doctor this week.
