It may be that you just need to learn to pace your effort level. Many of us have learned that we can do most anything if we pace ourselves. Learning new information takes more time and a slower process. There is no way to force cognitive functions.
Blood work often does not include much hormone testing. It would be worth checking to see if your thyroid levels were tested. Also, D3, B-12 and folate levels should be tested. B-12 should be near 1000 pcgms/mL. Folate about 20. Old fashioned vitamins are just that, old fashioned. The RDA used for most vitamins is severely lacking. Keep in mind that time since your last concussion is irrelevant if you have never allowed your brain to heal. Also, many of us have prolonged and/or lifelong symptoms and limitations such as being sensitive to over-stimulation. Research suggests that sensitivity to over-stimulation and other stressors is a common life-long result of concussions. Learning to pace ourselves can be a big help. My best to you. |
My thyroids were tested and they apparently came back normal.
I've tried to find vitamins that are well above the RDAs but it's quite complicated and the one I'm using could be missing the one ingredient I sorely need. I noticed there's a thread about this subject so I'll have a good look in there. Thanks for the advice it is very much appreciated. |
