Alas, my battle seems to be coming to a close.
One year ago I was not able to walk normally without getting severe headaches, I was not able to hold up a conversation, or attend classes. Now I am able to exercise moderately (still working towards my ultimate goal of being able to run freely again), participate in fairly normal daily activities, and participate in social events almost free of symptoms. I am very grateful to be able to do these things, and from now on will most definitely cherish a semi-healthy brain. I do still have occasional symptoms from time to time, which are becoming ever less frequent. If I have any advice to give, first of all I would say to be patient, things DO get better. Secondly I would tell you to not believe what doctors tell you 100%, think for yourselves. I plan to get back to my normal life, excluding heading soccer balls and probably skii'ing and snowboarding. This journey has taken approximately 10% of my life. |
