I CAN'T believe how time and again I find a thread that matches some of my biggest issues. Vivid dreams, painful dreams, and sex dreams. Glad someone had the courage to ask. I didn't
I wake up to vivid dreams every morning and even if they are pleasant I wake up with the WORST anxiety attack you can imagine sometimes accompanied by burning stabbing pain and maybe tremors . Takes me half hour to know that dream wasn't real.
As far as sexual dreams you mention, those are the worst for me. instead of waking up the way a man usually would (sorry if this it tmi) I wake up with body on fire and severe head pain.
It's got to be the CRUELEST part of this whole thing. And unlike the author of this thread indicated, I'm not obsessed with sex. it happens two or three times a week. I guess guys just dream of sex some of the time and sometimes I wake up during them.
One doctor said thalamus and brain stem misfiring or nerves healed and connected wrong. Whatever that means.
I want to wake up and feel no pain, no anxiety and remember NOTHING!!! like before the injuries.
Its not the medication, it's not lyme disease , its from the injury. If anyone has any ideas would love to heart it. Neurontin seems to work well but doesn't it have quick half life which means not much might be in system by the time I wake up? just asking.
