Lost Cause,
I encourage you to adjust your regimen. The 5-HTP is redundant. You are already taking L-Tryptophan. It is the precursor to 5-HTP and a much safer source of serotonin. L-Tryptophan is processed into 5-HTP only when needed and has a very low risk of causing serotonin syndrome. 5-HTP bypasses the body's metering system and can easily cause serotonin syndrome. Plus. GABA supplements are not absorbed well. The L-Theanine should be adequate to support and balance your GABA.

The Start: MVA, t-boned, on 1-12-14 (my sons 5th birthday) and did not think anything of it.. my back hurt on site but everything else seemed ok. Lost about 10-12 hours from about 3 hours after the accident to the next day...Experienced terrible brain fog for over a month, plus intense headaches, nausea, dizziness, cognitive difficulties, disorientation, no short term memory, depression and just an overall hangover feeling daily. Current Situation: I'm about 7 months in and my local neurologist has waived her white flag and therefore I am headed to Dallas to be seen (I have family there). The headaches are still daily. I have nausea, dizziness as well. Drugs I have been on- Vicodin (off), Naproxen (off), proanolol (off), topamax (off), cataflam (off), Midrin (off), Flexeril (off) and now Namenda XR (off), Nortrptylin (off), Verapamil (off) Therapy- Osteopath, Vestibular and balance therapy, fuzion/soft tissue massage, acupuncture Drs- ER (no help), GP, Chiropractor, Neurologist and Osteopath |

I've noticed the last couple of days if I close my eyes due to light sensitivity I feel as if I'm spiking in circles and I'm gone fall, keep in mind I'm laying down.

As much as I do not want to say this... I am happy that you are not watching the kids as well... i think that would be too much for you! yes it is hard, and no it doesn't get any easier! You just have to give your head time to heal..
There are still times that I feel like I am spinning... comes and goes...

My spouse is very dismissive of my PCS symptoms and pressures me to ignore them and carry on. To avoid an argument, I once walked our dog while I was in the "spin cycle." I'm sure everyone who saw me thought I was drunk - at 6am. |

Now I get to deal with possibly having to go back to work this week. I don't know how this is going to work!!
I know it's best for my kids not to be left alone with me but it sucks for me. |

I am at a loss on how they think you can go back to work... I hope that they realize sooner than later that you need to be off work for a while!
