Hi Sarah

I have talked to my Physiatrist many times about the acupuncture she gives me. There are many different kinds too. I have Japanese acupuncture which is different than some of the others offered in the states. She is Harvard trained in this. The best schools now are teaching this, there is more to it than western medicine has been teaching in the past.
I would look into where your therapist was trained. After reading about acupuncture, and the different types, not much was every said about such negative effects such as you are having. Being dizzy, all that is not something I read about in my research. In fact, it is normal to be more relaxed, in fact usually right away.
It is not suppose to make you sick in the stomach, headache, any of that stuff. I wonder if it is the acupuncture at all that is causing those side effects. For sure I would do a bit of research, maybe even question type received, and the education level, where trained etc.

I just know from my own experience, pain relief, isn't a lot, but it does help. She also uses spots to relax me. ginnie:grouphug:
