My insurance doesn't cover neuro-oph (I can't remember how to spell it) visits for members anymore, but I found a loophole: If my eyes do not get better, and another doctor says he thinks I'd benefit from seeing a neuro-oph, my insurance will pay. I'm going to keep calling my doctor, build up a record of failed treatments, and pray that I can get into the specialist. I don't know what else to do. I can't afford to pay it on my own (I already called for prices).

You do not necessarily need a Neuropthamologist you can see an eye doctor that specializes in binocular vision screening my eye doctor has a binocular specialist right in their office or see if there's a vision therapy group in your area they may do a screening there at their office to check your binocular vision. Hope that helps.

Check out the providers at http://www.braininjuries.org or http://www.nora.cc The doctor I found on http://www.braininjuries.org was a regular optometrist who also had a vision therapy side to his practice and did the extra screenings. You may be able to get that covered even if you can't get the neuro-ophth covered.

My eye doctor had the specialist in binocular assessment, but refereed me to another local office who did both the testing and therapy. I am a lucky gal.
LOL that was after the concussion clinic sent me to a therapy group that treated me like an 8 year old with learning difficulties. Even the waiting room looked like a classroom. And I had to ride sick an hour each way to get there. Very happy I opted for a 2nd opinion and now have personalized treatment from a lady who cares, makes me home care packets, a computer program and is 5 miles from home. Quote:

however, I don't experience it while applying - just mins after application. your comment about sinus infection was really intriguing - I'm definitely going to look into that for myself.

jacksonpawlick,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. This thread has been inactive for 3 years. If you develop symptoms, some find the head and neck movement can be the cause. Tilting the head forward and back and to the side can cause inflammation that changes blood flow. Plus, some symptoms can lag behind the trigger. Is there anything we can do to help you ? Feel free to tell us or ask us anything. My best to you.
