Default Anyone else experiencing this?

Officially past 6 months with PCS. Symptoms have decreased a bit but these have been 6 months of "hell". I just finally saw a neurologist and she was extremely angry i was advised that it was ok to continue with school via 2 ER doctors and my primary care doctor and was family pressured into staying. She is putting me on occupational and physical therapy. Also wants me to take extra B12 and Magnesium along with my multivitamin and putting me on nortriptyline hcl (taking that before bed) which i will not start until my last final at the end of the week. For the most part i can tell i have improved over 6 months but now i fatigue has been my enemy. I felt weak all the time and my arms and legs just feeling weak and twitch.

Suffice to say something does not feel right still. My family is getting fed up with me and i feel people are not taking me seriously. I know compared to others with more severe injuries and other regulars on this forum i am grateful to be in my position, but that does not mean i am OK. It seems no matter what i do i lose. Family comes over and they understand but i don't think they really get it. I try to explain but get nowhere. I asked my neurologist about the fatigue and the twitching, but she said it is probably stress and you need to sleep more.

I cannot do any physical activity (except walk b/c i have to). Any advise or helpful thoughts?

I don't think "normal" people can ever really understand what we endure. In fairness, it often seems incomprehensible to me - and I'm living it.

I find it helpful to come here and to talk to some other brain injured people I've met. We don't wallow - it's just nice to feel accepted.

If any of your family or friends care enough to spend the time online, ask them to watch the "You Look Great" You Tube video series at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9Xso...ature=youtu.be

It does a great got of explaining this invisible injury.

Taking it slow after finals should be a big help.

Thank you both of you. If i tell them that they say we believe you and support you. I just feel maybe they are in denial and hoping it will pass because one of my brothers already is handicapped a bit so to have another might be too much to bear. Im not sure but Hockey definitely this forum has been helpful. Mark from Idaho thank you for the link i think i will check it to make myself feel at peace a bit. After finals Neurologist said to lay off TV, video games, the computer, phone etc. I must rest, be patient and have faith:

"Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen." Matthew 21:21
