Mark and I have been creating some pretty interesting sentences up there.

Who knew anchovies weren't green?

If word finding is hard for you that's okay! Me too!

I usually get stuck on one word so then I go to google and type in:

WORDS THAT START WITH...

scrabble word finder comes up for me as one of the first ones. I usually use that.

It really makes me think, practice, and challenge myself.

Hello, Living Dazed -

Yes, it is fun.
It's also excellent for my brain.
I've been doing this kind of create-a-sentence exercise for a few years now, on another forum.
As an old lifelong wordsmith formerly in my life, it helps my healing brain and sense
of 'job well done' confidence-building.

I made it my personal therapeutic rule to work it out naturally, to gain as much as I could from each exercise, to not consult online for a word.
Same for the other forums' Name A Song exchanges. If I will but be patient with myself that great old classic rock song title that 'includes the word' [X] in the title will eventually float into my mind --- albeit it might be way later while washing dishes or something!

Theta Z

I hope words start flowing easier for me. One time I could only think of meh for an M word. Stuck for 5 minutes. It seems that whatever gets in my head first throws out all other words starting with that letter. Very frustrating.

I love words. I'm really hoping this helps my brain.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Jace

Ps. I love the gulf. My brother lived near Clearwater in FL. I've never been to the NorthWest as an adult but I know the weather pattern of rain, snow, dry from the coast to the otherwise of the mountains. I'm not one for cold and rainy.

This is fun!!

But it was very hard and frustrating for me the first couple of times I replied in the thread.

I have trouble coming up with some words too - surprisingly there are all sorts of word lists online to help - thanks for the tip Living_Dazed!

I do try to come up with my own words as much as possible though. Xenophobia came quite quickly to me (as one of the only x-words I could think of at the time...)

It's funny because my vocabulary is still improving since the accident. I had so much trouble remembering some very simple words sometimes! (And still do on occasion...) But I'll be in a conversation and out of my mouth will come some really great word that I had forgotten I even knew since the accident and hadn't used in years.... it's odd and that part of the recovery is a little fun.

EsthersDoll,

I'm so happy you are enjoying yourself. Made me smile. Having something to do with each other different from our injury is nice!

I like talking to the people here and hope to make some friends for life. 😊

I feel it pushes me to think. Sometimes I can. Sometimes I can't and have to use tools and strategies.

Thanks for joining us!

Jace
