Well I have to say this is very heavy duty medication, I can see why some people call it Dopomax. It has made me feel quite odd.
I also have Lyrica and Cymbalta in my system so that probably exacerbates these feelings. Nonetheless my appetite has gone completely and I have no pain so it is setting out what it was supposed to achieve! If this continues I won't be increasing the dose to 50mg as 25mg will be enough.

Yes-it is a very drowsy feeling. I would give it a few weeks. If you have other medications in your body it is to be expected.
Also do try to get a full night's sleep to counteract the drowsiness. Good food as well. Be good to yourself. I'm sending a lot of light and hope your way.

Things settling down now, it sends me to sleep and I wake up groggy but no bothersome side effects. Will step up to 50mg on Thursday but don't think I will need more than that.
I did notice when I did a 40 mile cycle yesterday that I didn't sweat a lot - possible side effect. However no headache/earache of any great significance afterwards, only minor. So with 30mg Cymbalta and 50mg Topomax I will hopefully be able to get on with my life - without weight gain.

So I can lead a normal life with the help of medication. This includes exercise (cycling) but not running or gym as I have tried this and it is too much for me.

a nice long cycle! It's a good sign. I love that feeling of getting the heart pumping again. Fingers crossed.
Also make sure to splurge on good brain food (coconut, avacado, bacon, nuts, eggs, etc). I sound like a mom, I know. But it will help counter that brain fog effects of topamax.

Mouse, I hope it works for you. I am unable to take it as I have a history of kidney stones and one of the side effects is kidney stones.
I am still waiting on the Botox injections.

Over the past month I have been getting headaches, earache, cheek ache, numbness in gums/teeth.
I am going to see my GP today to get the Topomax increased to 75mg. I don't know enough about neuropathic pain but when I was on Lyrica I had to switch up to 75mg from 50mg. It must get worse for some reason or the medication becomes less effective over time.

I am not too sure what is happening to me, but the 75mg Topomax increase hasn't halted the Neuropathic pain so I am now up to 100mg a day.
Major cognitive, memory, and word finding problems at these higher doses as well, but I will stick with it. Also a major appetite suppresant at this dose! I Hope it works out, Lyrica was so much smoother.
