Just out from a neurologist office. I told him the series of events:
- concussion on July 1st: mostly dizziness symptoms - 90% healed by August 1st ..back to light exercise - Sprint on August 25th: severe dizziness after a sprint here I am 2 months later and the dizziness has not gone away yet. Some days are good. Others are bad. Typically my dizziness comes back after sudden head movement (which I am not avoiding) and light knocks (like when entering the car, had a couple of these)... The neurologist say you might have Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and recommended I see an ear and throat doc. He said so because the concussion should have healed by now. He thinks the concussion could have induced the BPPV. He recommended I try Meclezine ... and these maneuvers for BPPV. What do you guys think? I am hoping this is not something I have to deal with for much longer... Many thanks |
