it doesn't vary by location and there are several mistake on this board. go the ssdi website and read for yourself.

No, that was directly from my local SS office, been spending time there to fix some issues with my payments. But you are very right, there's a lot of misinformation out there - including on the ssdi website. It can be a complicated system.
