Default Afraid of a new concussion

Hello, I am from Germany (so please excuse my bad english) and I've been reading here since a few weeks. I had my first concussion in December 2011 an recovered within three month. The I hit my head this year in March and I am still not recovered. There are good days and bad days. My biggest problem is, that I cannot ride my horse anymore. Every time I tried I got reas sick, hat to throw up the next day, got dizzy and a headache. The symptoms always last for about two weeks.

Today I had a very little car accident, some drove backwards out of a parking lot an hit my car. Since then I got a headache and I feel strange. But I then I think, that it cannot be a concussion from that and that I shoud calm down and not think about it. But I am so afraid of everything starting all over again.

Anja,

Have you had any soreness or stiffness in your neck ? The upper neck can suffer a very subtle injury that is not painful but gets inflamed and causes some intense symptoms. Riding your horse would make this upper neck injury more symptomatic. Icing it may help or some gentle physiotherapy may help.

My best to you.
