Default Deep brain stimulation

6 years ago, when my head and neck pain were almost unbearable, I came thisclose to getting dbs. The doctor went back and forth and then decided that I had to try conventional things (meds, pt, non-invasive stimulation) first, as my pain was too "new" and the vast majority of tbi pains go away within two years.

I never followed up when those other things failed and I was wondering if I should visit him again.

Between the pain, ocd, morning tremors and depression and sleep problems, he could kill a bunch of birds with one stone

Since I live in nyc there are numerous places that do it, but sparingly.

Anyone with knowledge of this procedure? I have much reading to do
