Default I am experiencing some minor new symptoms since a week after 6 months

Hello all, I am 5 and a half months into PCS and I am 28. I have light and sound sensitivity, tinnitus, extreme sensitivity to potholes and bumps on road, all this has been improving at a painfully slow pace every month. Lately I have been feeling dull pain in my lower forehead and around the eyes probably because I have more screen time at my work since a couple of days. I feel sleepy a lot throughout the day even though I sleep quite ok at night and get around a decent 9-10 hour sleep.

I feel very irritated by the time its evening and my mood changes very rapidly. Bright lights make me feel even more irritated and I feel exhausted and annoyed as the day progresses. I cant think of anything different that I am doing apart from a little more screen time at my workplace these days, tapering off xanax ( halved my dose since about 10 days after taking 0.25mg for a month) and stress of being stuck in this forever while looking at my friends having a time of their life and getting married and switching to better jobs.

I have zero physical activity and I have put on 10 kgs since the injury. I can feel its effects as I feel breathless in the middle of my sleep at night. My Tinnitus frequency has been changing since I have halved my xanax dose although overall its much better than before and quieter. I am very depressed because of my health crises and dont know where I am heading towards. The part of my head where I was hit feels sore and has constant dull ache even after this long.

As I mentioned before, I am experiencing some changes in this week like irritation and rapid mood changes by evening, sleepiness, dull pain around eyes and lower forehead, dizziness during any activity which is a new symptom and changing tinnitus frequency. Whats your thought on all this ? Do I just need a small outing to get refreshed? I think I do

Also maybe getting into a habit of short walks will improve things ?

You'll be ok kid, trust me. Don't be afraid. You said yourself you are getting better each month. You are doing more screen time and cutting back on the Xanax, which could explain the temperament issue.

As far as the new issues, others will be along to give you advice and suggestions. Sometimes things get a little worse before they get better with this injury.

Life hasn't passed you by in 5 months. If it were five years I would begin to agree. You'll have plenty of time to get better jobs and get married when you are better. And you will get better and better, it may just take longer than you were hoping. As for the weight, a lot of people put on weight during recovery, but that is something that IS in your control.

I know it's hard but try and have some perspective. You will have your WHOLE life ahead of you when this passes and it WILL pass.

Weird, I'm 6 months in and have similar symptoms. My head behind my forehead, frontal lobe I guess, feels a little 'odd', not sore but I feel something there. I'm hoping it's healing sensations. I've been having sore eyes and more sensitivity to bright light which is new.

If you're weaning yourself off a benzo, you'll be irritable and moody and for a while afterwards, but it will be well worth it. It sounds like you are progressing and that's the main thing. I would try some walking to get your circulation going and lift your mood. I think we have to reclaim normality back!

Those remaining are fatigue, brain freezes/overstimulation, headaches, sensitivity to light and sound. Insomnia is getting better but still an issue, and appetite is ba-ack! Depression and anxiety are largely under control thanks to Lexapro, exercise, and a very distant light at the end of the tunnel.

Drugs: Lexapro, occasional 2-5mgs ambien. Off amatryptaline. Taking about 453 supplements.

Just started vision therapy, waiting on some blue-tinted prism glasses.
