I've done a lot of reading and don't see any supplements missing from your list. As for the amino acids, if I take too much stuff i end up taking nothing cause i get overwhelmed..so i just take what's on the thread

Regarding counselling. I had some counselling sessions with a clinical neuropsychologist who also did a neuropsych assessment on me. The sessions were fantastic, but that was because she understood my current level of functioning and believed I have PCS. She was the only person I felt I could be entirely honest with regarding how close to exploding I was. It was so reassuring having a professional who understood and supported me. So if you can find someone who has an understanding of PCS then I would highly recommend the counselling. They should be able to assist you identify/develop some more strategies to manage your emotions and assist with your social anxiety. Finding the right person is vital. If you keep a diary of your emotions (how strong they are, what things trigger them off, etc.) that could be helpful to the counsellor/psychologist to understand what is going on for you.
I have also found meditation/relaxation tapes have helped me to manage my emotions at times. Lately I have been lucky enough to be able to resume some exercise and that has made an enormous difference to my moods (maybe because it also gets me outside). I realise I am extremely lucky to be in the position to exercise again. Hope you get some good advice from the nutritionist. It's got me thinking about seeing one now. |
