These articles relate to the use of paraspinal etanercept. It is injected into the spinal column in the neck. Dr Tibinick protects the actual procedure as he has patented the procedure.

It is a unique off-label use of etanercept that is not approved by the FDA so it is not in widespread use.

I read on his site that the injection is actually in a vein that supplies blood to the brain....at the base of the spine...
I have an appointment with Dr. Tobinick on July 10th to see if am a candidate for this......

Not FDA approved is Not a problem with me.......I had to travel to Panama to receive stem cell treatments that aren't FDA approved......n have helped me!

I remember taking a shower the night of my first treatment in Panama n the feeling of the water rolling down my chest.....which I hadn't felt since my accident 6 years earlier.....

The injection is into the cerebrospinal venous system. Not quite the same as the normal vascular system. It may be a way to bypass the blood brain barrier. Sounds interesting. Have you been told what the cost is ?

That is a better explanation...lol
The price is $5,000.......for TBI it's a single injection of the etenercept ......n depending on the patient it's only a single injection.....as you see in some of the videos....
I understand that these are not typical results n only a few see this much n rapid improvements.....
His site claims that over 600 patients have been treated n 80% have shown improvement....
Any improvement will be great.....specially in my vision, which is my biggest handicap, followed by my speech...
I've spent allot more doing the hyperbaric oxygen sessions n the stem cell treatment + his Boca Raton office is like n hour n a half drive from me...
Am anthious at the posibilities, but if no improvement comes from this, I won't be bitter or disappointed

My appointment was $5 to review my medical records n then it was $800 for the consultation after the medical records were reviewed n I was told that I'd be a good candidate!

The consultation was more of a fianacial probe than anything else......
Also, I was quoted $5000 last month n was now told that the price had gone up to $9400 since after they had aired a 60 minutes TV show.....! That's almost twice what I was quoted....
Being Such a price increase, I could not afford it currently......maybe after a few months of saving more $?
They have patients coming in from Europe, Australia, New Zealand etc!

The have patented this off label use of entenrcept that is actually helping patients n are charging accordingly
I guess it's not that expensive after all the stem bell treatments I've had, but still it's just n injection........n it's not that involved for it bein So costly.....
I guess it's the results they charge for........the possibility........ The hope!

I still wanna do this, just can't afford it presently!
I'll keep the forum posted when am able to afford this
They did provide me a letter that they've partnered with Wells Fargo bank to offer n interest free credit card for 12 months for this treatment.....

EDIT: I was interviewed by Dr. Levine n not Dr. Tobinick

I would be very cautious about going into debt for something like this. Save up and pay cash. You'll be glad you did.

Read the comments in the BIUSA post where they comment of Dr Tobinick's weak research.

Not going into too much debt.....they are honoring the $6,809!
I've spent more on stem cell therapy in panama!

Am just spreading the payments out not paying any interest!
If it would take me a year to save up, now it will take me a year to pay it .....that's all

Could you provide a link to what your stating?
