Default What About Us?

Every Single Day there is a post in the Parkinsons room about a new treatment or clinical trial, it seems.

I do hours and hours of reading and the Vast majority of promising trials and treatments are for Parkinsons or alzheiers, and so few are for brain injury.

The clinical trials I do find almost always involve the first 48 hours or five weeks.

I called director at BIUSA, and he says he gets TENS of thousands of calls a year asking what going on? Anything for tinnitus? no. Headaches? No. Memory issues? no. Sleep issues? no. Balance issues? no.

Heck, they aren't even sure what CAUSES these symptoms most of the time.

It's 2014. Come on, man. There are up to 400,000 soldiers with tbi injuries according to some sources, football players are suing for billions.

And a neurologist gets a piece of paper saying negative mri and it's all over. You're all better, it's in your head. See a shrink.

NOW, some psychologists (who I'm beginning to hate) are saying those left over symptoms are from ptsd!! Again, it's all in your head folks. Nothing to see here. Move on.

I know, I know, the injuries are too small to pick up on conventional mri, blah blah blah. Well then design a machine that shows them!!! The pentagon has 4 zillion dollars to spend to do this. Just do it!! I'm really thinking of going to the city to get DTI mri just to hear somebody say, gee, there really is something wrong.

There should be a list of neurologists who have had head injuries.

I called BIANY THREE Times to volunteer my time, never got an email or call bak And they want a donation. just wow.

Meanwhile, supplements sellers and sake oil salesmen make BILLIONS off of us.

I'm done ranting.
