So did mine. A doc friend got me a supposedly great neuro, but pretty much all he did is he got me an MRI (the Czech Republic doesn't have many MRI machines -- most people don't get MRI scans). When I tried to ask him about a couple of supplements, he didn't even look at them and just said that I could only make it worse. A whole lot of recent research says otherwise, and I think it's common sense that proper nutrition and the right chemicals should aid in healing.

Coming to think of it, I don't think he's that knowledgeable about concussions. When I told him that my GP gave me an Mg injection when I cam with complaints about a week after my injury, he made it look like that was a very pointless and stupid thing. Now I didn't like being injected with something without being explained why either, but later I came across at least two scientific articles (one is at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/art...es/PMC3307233/ ) that suggest that Mg, among other things, should be neuroprotective when present enough of it is present in the blood stream during or soon enough after a TBI. I don't know if that was my GP's motivation, but I would expect a great neuro to know about that.
