Default new neuro

Went saw the new dr today. Overall im much more satisfied than with my other dr.

First and foremost she seems highly intelligent, unlike the other dr. Only issue I really had was she was a "know it all" and very over confident. Wouldnt let me finish my sentences without her trying to finish them. Annoyed me a lot, and she had to change her diagnoses and approach a few times after I rudely would interrupt to finish what I was saying.

Says I have chronic hemiplegic migraines as well as cluster headaches. Also one very strange thing happened. She did a battery of examinations like make me follow the light, raise my arms walk ect ect.

I still did poorly on the follow the light and follow the finger testing and touch your nose tests, but the thing that she made a comment on in arabic, and then wrote something down was a reflex test and my walking. She said something about my walking, but I dont remember exactly what. But when she did the reflex testing on my legs I was fine, on my right arm I was fine, but nothing out of my left arm. She did it multiple times, and in different ways too. Couldnt get a response, and asked why I was fighting her. I wasnt. She tried a few minutes later and tried to catch me off guard, same results. She said something in arabic and wrote a big paragraph on the paper, but wouldnt answer me as to what it was. Just said she needed to check out my other files and we would talk about it the next appt.

She also put me on 5 new medications for migrainse and the cluster headaches. The names elude me right now, will have to wait till I go to pharmacy tomorrow to get them.

The Start: MVA, t-boned, on 1-12-14 (my sons 5th birthday) and did not think anything of it.. my back hurt on site but everything else seemed ok. Lost about 10-12 hours from about 3 hours after the accident to the next day...Experienced terrible brain fog for over a month, plus intense headaches, nausea, dizziness, cognitive difficulties, disorientation, no short term memory, depression and just an overall hangover feeling daily.

Current Situation: I'm about 7 months in and my local neurologist has waived her white flag and therefore I am headed to Dallas to be seen (I have family there). The headaches are still daily. I have nausea, dizziness as well.

Drugs I have been on- Vicodin (off), Naproxen (off), proanolol (off), topamax (off), cataflam (off), Midrin (off), Flexeril (off) and now Namenda XR (off), Nortrptylin (off), Verapamil (off)

Therapy- Osteopath, Vestibular and balance therapy, fuzion/soft tissue massage, acupuncture

Drs- ER (no help), GP, Chiropractor, Neurologist and Osteopath
